Ms. Lindstrom, who finds much fulfillment by connecting with members of the Environmental Club and extending the outreach of knowledge to future generations of leaders, was nominated by department supervisor Dr. Aarti Mallya.

Over her eight years as advisor, Ms. Lindstrom has secured a number of BCUA & PFO grants to install water bottle refill stations throughout the school.  In addition, she has invited many environmental experts in the field to come speak to students about conservation and recycling efforts, including: Hugh Carola from the Hackensack Riverkeeper; Frank Mortimer, the president of the Northeast NJ Beekeepers Association; and representatives from the Ethical Choices Organization.
