Beekeeper Visits Environmental Club

The Environmental Club recently invited Mr. Frank Mortimer, the president of the Northeast New Jersey Beekeepers Association, to come talk to Pascack Valley students about the importance of bees in the environment and economy, as well as how bees have adapted to establish and maintain their hives. Mr. Mortimer brought in an observation hive, several beekeeping props, and worked hard to dispel any bee-myths brought to the room - not to mention the delicious honey for the students to try out!

Pascack Valley is grateful to Mr. Mortimer for making time to help our students learn about the importance of bees in our environment.  We are also grateful to Ms. Lindstrom for her efforts to arrange special guest speakers to teach our students.
