Dear Parents & Guardians of Pascack Valley High School Students:

Re:  POS Cash Registers and Pre-Ordering System in the School Cafeteria

We are pleased to inform you that Pascack Valley High School will continue the computerized Point of Sale (POS) system in the cafeteria.

We offer you the option of funding an individual student’s lunch account to be used for the purchase of future lunch items.  This will help our lunch lines move faster by reducing the number of cash transactions and increasing the number of cashless (debit) lunch sales. 

  • The student will use their ID number that is assigned by the school to access their account.
  • Throughout the school year, cash or checks made out to “Pascack Valley Regional Board of Education Cafeteria Account” can be sent to the cafeteria.  If you are sending a check, please include the student’s ID number and the last name of the student if it is different than the name printed on the check.
  • The student can simply hand their cash or check to any cashier in the cafeteria. They will apply it to the student’s account.
  • You can also use your credit card by using PayForIt @  This is a secure online system which enables parents to add money to their child’s lunch account quickly and easily online.
  • To ensure accuracy, a detailed report of a student’s transactions can be printed at any time.

We encourage you to take advantage of this program, which is similar to the systems used in colleges and many workplaces.  Think about it…no more forgotten lunch money.  Of course, cash transactions are also accepted.

For their convenience, we also offer our students a unique Online Pre-Order system.  This is a “pick up and go” option offered to students to avoid waiting on line to have their lunch prepared.  The student registers online @  They can pre-order their freshly made-to-order custom deli sandwich or salad and beverage of their choice.  Their order will be ready and available for pick up at the designated area during their lunch period.  If the student has a lunch account, they can also pre-pay when creating their order.
