Environmental Club Awarded BCUA Grant

The grant, part of the BCUA Environmental Awareness Challenge Grant Program, will be used to develop the Pascack Valley High School edible garden.

The grant was presented to Environmental Club members Cassidy Smith, Naria Zuluaga, Julianna Xhaferi, Nicole Ingannamorte, and Shaina Julis, along with club advisors and PV science teachers Ms. Kristen Lindstrom and Mrs. Michela Piccoline at a ceremony held at Bergen Community College on Friday, October 12.

The BCUA introduced the Environmental Awareness Challenge Grant Program in 2007 as a way to reinvigorate recycling and environmental awareness in Bergen County schools. This program, now in its 11th year, continues to offer educators in all Bergen County public and private schools the opportunity to apply for grants of up to $1,000.
