The contest, sponsored by the American Association Teachers of French (AATF), required students to write a poem in French based on a French Impressionist painting. Fellow seniors Colleen Curtin and Blythe Thomas earned an honorable mention award for their entries. Emily, Colleen, and Blythe are members of the PVHS French Honor Society and students of Teresa DelGiudice, teacher of French and Italian.
