On Thursday, May 23 2019, a few students from Mr. Sherman's Advanced Video Production class went to the New Jersey 10 Day Film Challenge where their short film "Revenge" won Best Film by Underclassman and 8th overall.
The New Jersey 10 Day Film Challenge is an event held every year where schools all over the state compete. On Day 1 the prompt is announced and students have 10 days to write, shoot and edit their 3-4 minute film. The prompt is usually: A Character, a prop, a line of dialog, and a backstory. Using one of the 10 genres available, students must craft their film before the 4pm deadline on Day 10.

Out of 44 state schools that entered, only 22 were represented at the “Top 30” Screening and Awards ceremony and out of 150 submissions, Best Film Overall by an underclassman was a huge accomplishment and a huge leap forward for the Video Production Program. It was presented to them by the Rowan University Radio, Television and Film Department.
Congratulations to Mr. Sherman and all of the students who participated in this program!
