This year, our AP Computer Science class is participating in the
AP with WE service learning program, a new program created through a partnership with College Board and WE that offers AP teachers the opportunity to incorporate service learning into their existing AP course.

Mrs. Ricca's class chose the "Access to Education" module which was designed to align with our AP curriculum.  Throughout the year students have investigated causes and effects associated with access to education.  For their local action, they chose to work with another community (Totowa) to teach younger students about coding. For their global action they are teaming up with Scott Karrel (a former student) and his Unlock Foundation that addresses educational gaps in rural African schools.

We are proud of the great work by Mrs. Ricca's class!
