King, James Taylor, Queen, Michael Jackson, Billy Joel, Randy Newman, Jason Mraz, Eclipse and Pentatonix. PV’s acclaimed Chamber Choir and the school’s all female a cappella group, B Naturals, also will perform a cappella selections.

Bro Squad was founded in September 2017 by its current Artistic Director, Mrs. Argine Safari, 2017 New Jersey State Teacher of the Year and 2018 NJEA Arts Educator of the Year. Since then, Bro Squad has been entertaining audiences locally, nationally and even internationally in Ireland and Canada.

The group comprises boys in grades 9-12 who come from different backgrounds and beliefs but who are unified by one thing: their love for music and singing. These young men are charitable fundraisers and spread the message of love and hope through performances for audiences of all ages from the young to those staying in nursing homes and hospitals.

Mrs. Safari expressed that it has been a real joy and honor working with these talented young men, often helping them discover the passion they never knew they had.

“I have seen a tremendous musical and artistic growth in our school community since arriving at Pascack Valley High School in 2005, but I am most proud of our Bro Squad members who have never been involved in music making and found themselves completely immersed in singing,” commented Safari. ”Many of our Bro Squad alumni members continue singing in collegiate ensembles or community choirs, pursuing music careers, and even starting their own a cappella groups!”

“I am extremely proud of these young men and cannot wait to share beautiful music with them again on May 31st at our 10th Anniversary festival,” said Safari.

Princeton University’s premier all male a cappella group, The Nassoons, will be joining the program and will amaze the audience with performances of their own arrangements. Founded in 1941, The Nassoons are Princeton's oldest a cappella ensemble and the third oldest collegiate group in the nation. The Nassoons have been touring domestically and internationally for over 65 years. Recent tours have taken them to Switzerland, Hong Kong, France, Monaco, Germany, the Greenbrier Resort in West Virginia, and the White House, as well as the sets of Good Morning America and the Tonight Show with Jay Leno. The festival will conclude with a combined song performed by both Bro Squad and The Nassoons. This blend of music, comedy, and showmanship will surely make for an entertaining experience for all who attend.

The community is invited to attend this free event. Refreshments will be available during the intermission and the audience will have an opportunity to purchase The Nassoons CDs, including their latest 2017 release.
