Music Students Continue to Succeed in the Region

Pascack Valley High School is proud to announce that 11 of our students have been accepted to the North Jersey Region Choirs and Wind Ensemble.  

Below is a list of of students, in alphabetical order, who were accepted into the 2017-2018 NJSMA Region I Mixed and Treble Choir:

  • Lisa Agranov
  • Tirso Ballesteros
  • Antonio Fyfe
  • Joshua Ozawa-Morriello
  • Kajal Ramrup
  • Robyn Roznitsky
  • Delia Stiles
  • Katherine Suarez
  • Isabella Tjan

 Pascack Valley had two students selected to the NJSMA Region I Wind Ensemble:

  • Evan Ferioli, Trombone
  • Julian Stiles, French Horn

Students selected for the Region Choirs are under the direction of Mrs. Argine Safari, the 2017 Bergen County and New Jersey State Teacher of the Year, while students selected for the Region Wind Ensemble are under the direction of Mr. Joseph Zajac.

The NJSMA Region Ensemble concerts will take place on the following schedule:

  • Region Choir concert at Bloomfield High School on Jan. 27th at 4pm
  • Region Band Concert will be at Parsippany Hills High School on Jan. 28th at 3pm
  • Region Orchestra Concert will be at Paramus High School on Feb. 11th at 3pm

The students have worked incredibly hard to prepare and compete at these rigorous auditions.  The Pascack Valley community is proud of these outstanding students as their acceptance into these choirs and wind ensemble are a true testament to their hard work and talent.
