The Whole Kids Foundation has awarded Pascack Valley High School with a Garden Grant of $2,000. Below is an excerpt from the Whole Kids Foundation website regarding the grant:

"Created in partnership with FoodCorps, the Garden Grant program provides a $2,000 monetary grant to support a new or existing edible garden. Our Garden Grant Program supports edible educational gardens located at a school or non-profit organization."

Our Family and Consumer Sciences department took the lead on applying for the grant and plan to alongside our Science department and Environmental Club to collaborate and create an interactive, engaging edible garden with cross-disciplinary applications.

We are excited for this opportunity. Pascack Valley would like to thank Ms. Julianne Downes (Family and Consumer Science teacher), Ms. Michaela Piccoline (Science Teacher),  Ms. Kristen Lindstrom (Science Teacher), Dr. Aarti Mallya (Science department supervisor), and Ms. Noemi Rodriguez (Family and Consumer Science department supervisor), for working on this grant to bring another great program to our students.
