Mr. Steinfeld, who also serves as the president of the Pascack Valley Regional High School District Board of Education, has shared his expertise annually with PV US History II students as well as those enrolled in the Syracuse University sponsored Public Policy course and members of the This Week in Politics co-curricular club.

Prior to leading the seminar, Mr. Steinfeld provided to students several readings which enabled them to prepare questions in advance. The session was dynamic from the start as Mr. Steinfeld began with a topic he called “Myth Busters.” From there, Mr. Steinfeld focused on current and highly controversial topics including the Migrant Caravan, DACA and Dreamers, and the Birthright issue associated with the 14th amendment.

“PV students appreciated having an expert discuss these issues with them,” said Mr. Sarajian, PV Social Studies teacher. “ Mr. Steinfeld’s candor and ability to relate the topic to real life situations really left an impression on the students.”
