World Language Students Win Coccia Foundation Award

On March 15, 2018, Mrs. Borghi nominated five students​ ​(juniors) for the​ ​Montclair State University Coccia Foundation Italian Studies Award for Exemplary Students. Our district is pleased to announced that all five of our nominated students have received the award, which includes a monetary gift for each winner made possible through a grant from the Pagano Family Foundation..

The Pascack Valley High School winners are: Ruby Comiskey, Elise DeBlasio, Shauna McLean, Adriana Rack, and Zachary Zeller.

To be nominated, students must demonstrate:

  • Excellence in all three modes of communication in Italian (listening, speaking, and writing)
  • Commitment to the Italian program and the community
  • Impeccable personal and work ethic
  • Leadership
