Rachel Lee and Isabella Tjan, members of the Class of 2020, have been named Semifinalists in the 2020 National Merit® Scholarship Program. Rachel and Isabella are among the approximately 16,000 Semifinalists in the 65th annual National Merit® Scholarship Program. These academically talented high school seniors have an opportunity to continue in the competition for some 7,600 National Merit® Scholarships worth more than $31 million that will be offered next spring.

Michael Alpert and Meredith Tipping are honored as Commended National Merit® Students in the 2020 National Merit® Scholarship Program. “Although Commended Students do not continue in the competition for National Merit® Scholarships, some of these students do become candidates for Special Scholarships sponsored by corporations and businesses” (National Merit Scholarship Corporation).

“Of the 1.6 million entrants, some 50,000 with the highest PSAT/NMSQT® Selection Index scores [...] qualify for recognition” (National Merit Scholarship Corporation).  Pascack Valley is proud of Rachel, Isabella, Michael, and Meredith for their outstanding achievement in the National Merit® Scholarship Program.
