Graphic: 5 handprints in different colors with words/phrases that represent preschool

The Pascack Valley Regional High School District’s preschool laboratory is part of the Early Childhood & Family Education Program, which enables high school students to work with and observe young children while learning about child development and parenting. The program is designed to provide high school students with the opportunity to engage with and embrace new roles and responsibilities through their work with young children. The skills and competencies required to perform these roles serve as preparation for parenthood and child service careers.

Registration for school year 2025-2026 is closed

Registration for the following year will open in January 2026

The Pascack Valley School District Family and Consumer Science Program engages students in challenging activities to further develop knowledge, skills, practices, attitudes, and behaviors, that will prepare them for future life experiences. Students are taught in a hands-on experiential learning environment by taking responsibility for their active participation in real life laboratory settings, which allows for repeated practice, application of skills, and knowledge.
