The mathematics curriculum is designed to meet and exceed the New Jersey Student Learning Standards for Mathematics, as students will have opportunities to take advanced courses such as Precalculus, Calculus, AP Calculus AB and BC, Advanced Topics in Calculus, Statistics, AP Statistics, College Algebra, and Discrete Math, as well as the core courses of Algebra I, Geometry, and Algebra II with Trigonometry. In addition, students will have the opportunity to take one of several Computer Science courses, including Intro to Computer Science and App Development, Honors Computer Science, AP Computer Science A, and Advanced Topics in Computer Science. Each of these courses will seek to build procedural fluency on a foundation of conceptual understanding.
The mathematics department is committed to using technology to enhance instruction and help students become educated producers and consumers of quantitative information in the 21st century.
