Pascack Valley High School Theatre is proud to present their fall play, Peter/Wendy by Jeremy Bloom as their main stage fall production November 16-18, 2023.
The play, adapted from J.M. Barrie’s classic “Peter and Wendy” and his story “The Little White Bird”, is a lyrical, atmospheric interpretation of the boy who can’t grow up that strips the familiar story down to its emotional essence.
Peter (sophomore James Campenot) lures Wendy (sophomore Anna Stern) away from her nursery to the magical world of Neverland, where she joins his adventures with Tinker Bell (freshman Abby Campbell), Tiger Lily (sophomore Liza Wieland), and the menacing Captain Hook (senior Brianna Finch). A low-tech, inventive adaptation that pays homage to the darker themes of the original, Peter/Wendy is recommended for ages 10 & up, and is sure to mesmerize audiences!
Public performances are scheduled, on Thursday, November 16 at 7pm, Friday, November 17 at 7pm, and Saturday, November 18 at 1pm & 7pm. Playwright Jeremy Bloom will join us for a talkback on Friday, November 17 following the 7pm performance. The talkback is open to all of that evening’s ticket holders.
There is a free matinee performance for senior citizens on Tuesday, November 14th at 10am. No reservations are required.
Tickets -- $14 for adults, $9 for students -- are available at www.pvhstheatre.org or at the door one hour prior to each performance. All seats are reserved. The school is located at 200 Piermont Ave, Hillsdale.
