Pascack Valley Student Publication named state's top online student newspaper for the fourth straight year

The Pascack Valley Student Publication won 28 individual awards and 24 honorable mentions and was named the top online student newspaper in the state for the fourth straight year by the Garden State Scholastic Press Association (GSSPA) in its annual awards contest. The awards were announced during a live virtual event on the GSSPA’s Instagram account on Thursday, Feb. 18.

The GSSPA has included online categories in its contests for four years, and The PV Student Publication has snared the Online Overall Excellence honor in all four of those years. Our PV journalists also earned publication-level awards for Overall Excellence in Pandemic Coverage (for the best overall coverage of pandemic-related issues in the state) as well as Distinguished Print Journalism in Division B (the most awarded publication for its in the traditional print categories for mid-sized schools).
