Pascack Valley High School is proud to announce that five students are the recipients of this year's Coccia Foundation Italian Studies Student Award. The honorees this year are freshmen Abigail Comer, Llaoly Coplin, Emma Tritthart, and Amanda Varghese, and sophomore Joseph Marotta. These students were nominated by their Italian teacher, Signora Barbara Borghi, and were chosen for their commendable academic accomplishments in learning the Italian language. This recognition encourages students' continued interest and study of the Italian language and culture.

The student awards are made possible through a generous grant from The Paragano Family Foundation. Each student was awarded a certificate and check to recognize their accomplishments. Congratulations to these students and to Signora Barbara Borghi, for their commitment to excellence in learning the Italian language!

The Coccia Foundation seeks to promote awareness of Italian and Italian American culture, history and societal contributions, and to celebrate and preserve those ethoses for the younger generations of Italian-Americans in the United States, as well as students from other backgrounds and ethnicities who are interested in discovering all things Italian.
