Dear Parents/Guardians of the Class of 2022,
Graduation is fifteen days away, and I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your support and partnership over the past four years. Our seniors and their families deserve nothing less than an amazing graduation on June 16. With that in mind, please review the information below to ensure all will go smoothly.
No senior will be eligible to participate in rehearsals or graduation if they have outstanding obligations such as fines, missing textbooks, laptop damages, etc.
Commencement Ceremony - The ceremony will begin at 6:00 pm on the lower grass field.
Tickets (Outdoors) - There is no limit to the number of guests each graduate may bring, and tickets are unnecessary if the ceremony is outdoors. Please note that we do not have reserved seating for attendees. Although seating will be provided, it can not be guaranteed. Therefore, it is recommended that guests bring their own seating.
Tickets (Indoors) - Unfortunately, if the weather does not cooperate, our graduation ceremony will take place inside the main gymnasium. Each graduate has been issued two tickets for guests to spectate in the main gymnasium (white tickets). They have also received two additional tickets for the auditorium for guests to watch the ceremony “live-streamed” (green tickets).
Remote Viewing - Whether our ceremony will take place outdoors or indoors, a link will be available on the Pascack Valley High School website for live viewing.
General Parking - Parking will be available at Meadowbrook School and Pascack Bible Church. Alternate side parking will be in effect for side streets surrounding the high school. Only individuals with reserved handicapped parking will be permitted on campus.
Handicapped Parking - There are a limited number of handicapped parking spaces in the back of the school. To reserve a handicapped space, please send an email to [email protected]. Graduates who request a handicapped space will be issued parking passes during graduation practice on June 15.
Shuttle Bus from Meadowbrook School - We will have a shuttle bus from Meadowbrook School to Pascack Valley, which will shuttle back and forth starting at 4:45.
Graduation Rehearsals - Mandatory graduation rehearsal will be held on June 15 at 10:00 am. All graduates should report to the auditorium for rehearsal. Any senior who misses rehearsal without prior administrative approval will not be permitted to participate in our graduation ceremony.
Report Time for Graduates - Graduates are to report to the main lobby at 4:45 pm on graduation day.
Graduation Attire - Our graduation ceremony is a formal event, and we ask that students not wear blue jeans, shorts, sneakers, or flip-flops. Our graduation ceremony will take place on the lower grass field; therefore, we suggest students wear flats or low heels. Skirt, dress, or pants, button-down shirt with tie, are recommended.
Wednesday, June 8 - Seniors will have a 9:00 am delayed arrival on this day. All seniors must be present in school to be eligible to participate in their class trip on Monday. If students are not in attendance, they will not be allowed to participate in their Senior Class Trip.
Senior Class Trip - Our senior class trip will take place on Monday, June 13.
Safe Graduation - It has been a long-standing tradition that graduates attend our Safe Graduation event immediately following our graduation ceremony. Please see the attached document for more details.
