Dear Parents & Guardians of Pascack Valley High School Students

Re:  POS Cash Registers and Pre-Ordering System in the School Cafeteria

Pascack Valley High School has a computerized Point of Sale (POS) system in the cafeteria. We offer you the option of funding an individual student’s lunch account to be used for the purchase of future lunch items.  This helps our lunch lines move faster by reducing the number of cash transactions. 

  • To fund a student’s lunch account, you can send cash or checks made out to “Pascack Valley Regional Board of Education Cafeteria Account” to the cafeteria. If you are sending a check, please include the student’s ID number and the last name of the student if it is different than the name printed on the check. We will create an account for the student using the student’s school ID number.  The student will use their school ID number to access their account.
  • The student can simply hand their cash or check to any cashier in the cafeteria. The cashier will immediately apply it to the student's account.
  • You can also use your credit card to add money to the student’s lunch account by going to PayForIt @ For directions on how to use this secure online system which enables parents to add money to a student’s lunch account, click here.
  • To ensure accuracy, a detailed report of a student’s transactions can be printed at any time.

We encourage you to take advantage of this program, which is similar to the systems used in colleges and many workplaces. Think about it…no more forgotten lunch money. If you choose not to use this option, cash transactions are always accepted.

For their convenience, we also offer our students a unique Online Pre-Order system.  This is a “pick up and go” option offered to students to avoid waiting on line to have their lunch prepared.  The student registers online @  They can pre-order a freshly made-to-order custom deli sandwich or salad and beverage of their choice.  Their order will be ready and available for pick up at the designated area during their lunch period. A student can also use money that is in their account to pre-pay for their order..
