Finalize the list of colleges you plan to apply to.
❏ Create a Common Application account (if you have not already done so), and complete the FERPA agreement.
❏ Login to your Scoir account and complete the FERPA agreement.
❏ Move/drag colleges from “Following” to “Applying” list in SCOIR. Once you have submitted your application, please move the college to your “Applied” list.
❏ Submit the Transcript Release Form to Mrs. Flinn (kflinn@pascack.org) at least 15 school days prior to your first deadline (Form found in guidance or website). Colleges on transcript release form must match your “Applying” list in SCOIR.
❏ Reachout to the teachers you spoke with in the spring regarding your letters of recommendations and your earliest application deadline.
❏ Under My Colleges, choose “Application Documents— Request a Recommendation” in SCOIR. Enter your teacher’s information, the college you would like the recommendation to go to, type a message and choose “Send”.
❏ Ensure that your SCOIR Student Brag Sheet (located in Surveys) & The Activities and Achievements section (also known as Resume) have been updated for your letters of recommendation.
❏ Register for the SAT and/or ACT (optional), if you did not take it as a junior, or if you want to improve your score.
❏ Go to SAT and/or ACT websites to request official score reports be sent to colleges that require test scores (many colleges are test-optional– please refer to each college’s admissions website/fairtest.org to confirm their test score policy).

❏ Create a Coalition Application/Scoir application if applicable
❏ Create a checklist/spreadsheet/calendar to chart application deadlines and information.
❏ Finalize your college essay. It’s always a good idea to get feedback from a teacher or your counselor.
❏ Signup for virtual or in person college rep visits in Scoir (found on mainpage or under “Me- Visits and Deadlines”).

❏ Complete your FAFSA and CSS Profile (if necessary). Adhere to priority filing deadlines set by the colleges.
❏ Schedule a meeting with your counselor to discuss your progress and discuss any questions
